These are some simple, yet important guidelines. They can help you get support much quicker and more efficiently.
- Please give a full description of the issue. "Please help!" wont get you any help..
- Make sure to give the name of the forum theme that is having an issue.
- Include any screenshots that will show what the issue is, in case I or someone else here cannot replicate the issue.
- Include a url to your forum using the theme with the problem or a url to your forum with the theme selected (IE: index.php?action=forum;theme=xx).
- If your forum requires a user to be registered to view any pages there, please provide a test account username and password so that I or someone else here willing to help may view the pages to see the issues. Once the issue is resolved, you can and should delete the test account or at least reset the password for later use.
- In some cases, Administration access may be required to fix or help diagnose a problem.
Only give your Administrator access username/password to me ("m3talc0re"). If you wish to give the username/password to a member here, make sure you only give it to someone you know and trust. Take caution when giving out your Admin information, because with it, someone could cause irreparable damage to your forums. - Once your issue has been resolved, please modify you first message and change the post icon to the green check mark.
Please follow these guidelines and things will be much easier for everyone. A good start for a support thread would be something like:
Theme name: Warzone
Forum URL: http://www.yoursite.com/forum/index.php?theme=8Login Details (if applicable): TestAccount/password
Problem:Provide a clear and descriptive message of your problems and/or issues here. You can also attach screenshots to help convey your message. Drawing on or outlining the parts in question in your screenshots can help as well.
