Show buttons as images instead of text?
Greetz, first of all. Good work man. Cool theme!

I dont know if anyone already discussed about it, but here it goes:

Show buttons as images instead of text
This option is activated on my forum, and i still get text instead of images. Like here, on this forum i think.
Im using portuguese language as default, copied a whole folder and renamed it to portuguese. Still get text. After that for test changed to english, got the same result. Text instead of images.
Any help? thx

I wasn't even aware this was an option somewhere... Could you tell me the path to it? And welcome btw.

Edit:
Okay, I found the "option", it's in the index.template.php file. I think it's just something left behind from a previous version of smf or something, because I just tested it with even the default smf theme and it changes nothing.

Yes its in a layer options. This theme as i see uses same type os "Text buttons" like default theme SMF.

I mean, I know what it's for and I know those images are there, I don't think they're meant to be used with 1.1 though.

I believe that what this is used for isn't for the buttons on the tops and bottom of the pages but for the buttons or text used inside the messages or post themselves. So instead of text like here on this board if you set it to show buttons you would see the default buttons for Quote, Modify, and Remove.

I figured out how to do it. Download my latest theme SoftMC at SMF's themes site. Extract it and open the index.template.php and scroll to the very bottom, you'll see two functions, one of which is labeled "TEXTLINKS" which is what smf 1.1 normally uses and the one above it which makes the forum use the image buttons instead of the tabs.
